Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a dynamic Field Safety Technician to lead safety initiatives at a premier semiconductor facility in the United States. You will work with a diverse safety team to strengthen hazard awareness and safety culture.

The role requires evaluating conditions, developing control programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance, with a 12-hour D-shift schedule (Wed–Fri and alternating Saturdays) on-site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of health & safety experience with workplace safety programs and incident management.
• Academic training in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional safety designation (ASP, CSP, GSP, etc.) is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate, identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices.
• Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures and programs.
• Implement, administer and advise others on hazard control programs.
• Measure, audit and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
• Evaluate regulatory compliance of safety programs and policies.

Position Summary

Seeking a dynamic Field Safety Technician with strong leadership skills, ability to identify/mitigate risks and develop safety control programs for one of the most advanced semiconductor facilities in the United States. Role and Responsibilities

• Ability to anticipate, identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices
• Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures and programs
• Implement, administer and advise others on hazard control programs
• Measure, audit and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements
• Evaluation of regulatory compliance associated with safety programs/policies

Shift: D-shift, scheduled for 12 hour shift, Wed – Fri & alternate Saturdays (Nights)

The current base salary range for this role is between $26.00 - $33.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

This position may include access to controlled information or technology under U.S. export control laws. Employment may be contingent on either the applicant verifying that the applicant falls under the “U.S. Person” definition (including U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, and those granted U.S. asylum or refugee status) or the employer timely obtaining any necessary export license under federal law.
