FINFROCK is seeking a Field Safety Technician to help maintain safe jobsites, identify hazards, and promote a safety-first culture across manufacturing and construction sites in Florida. You will work hands-on with field teams and travel to project locations as needed to ensure compliance and safe outcomes.

The role requires knowledge of OSHA standards, a suitable safety background, and a willingness to obtain additional certifications. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Two- to four-year degree preferred, or high school diploma with safety experience.
• Working knowledge of construction practices.
• Ability to interpret OSHA standards.
• Florida driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willing to obtain OSHA 30/500/510 certifications.
• Willing to travel and work long hours.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure safety compliance.
• Work in manufacturing plant, on job sites, and in offices with travel.
• Document inspections, cite hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain PPE supply and ensure availability.
• Familiarize with OSHA and company safety policies.
• Evaluate tasks to modify procedures for safety improvements.
• Collaborate with staff at all levels on safety initiatives.
• Assist safety duties at Florida job sites requiring travel.

Duties and Responsibilities

• The safety technician will inspect work areas to include plant and construction site equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, federal and site-specific safety policies and regulations.
• This job operates in the manufacturing facility, on job sites, and in an office environment. This role requires time spent in the manufacturing plant as well as trips to FINFROCK locations, project sites, and long-term storage facility.
• Document safety inspections, cite dangerous areas/procedures and recommend corrective procedures to manufacturing and construction managers, supervisors, foreman, and safety team.
• Maintain safety equipment (PPE) supply and ensure availability.
• Become familiar with all applicable OSHA and company specific safety policies, overseeing FINFROCK employees and temporary workers in the manufacturing plant in addition to all corresponding construction projects.
• Independently evaluate jobs/tasks and procedures in the manufacturing plant and construction sites to recommend appropriate task modifications, PPE, or other appropriate actions to improve safety outcomes.
• Work with people at all levels within the organization from a safety perspective.
• Assist with safety duties at FINFROCK job sites throughout the state of Florida which will require travel to the job site locations.

Qualifications

• A two-to-four-year degree is preferred, or a high school diploma or equivalent, with proven construction safety experience.
• You have a working knowledge of construction practices.
• You have the ability to interpret and apply OSHA standards.
• You have the ability to recognize and correct safety-related hazards and target any potentially unsafe conditions.
• You possess a current Florida Driver’s License with clean driving record along with appropriate automotive insurance.
• You have or are willing to obtain an OSHA 30 certification in General Industry and Construction. OSHA 30 training can be obtained through FINFROCK Authorized Trainers.
• You have an OSHA 500 certification, or are willing to attend all training courses and testing required to obtain an OSHA 500 certification once all prerequisites have been met.
• You have an OSHA 510 certification or are willing to attend all training courses and testing required to obtain an OSHA 510 certification once all prerequisites have been met.
• You have the ability to work long hours with regular travel.
• Salary commensurate with experience.
