Job summary

Beitzel Corporation is seeking a Field Safety Supervisor to lead safety initiatives across multiple job sites. The role focuses on enforcing policies, conducting on-site training, and driving a proactive safety culture to protect workers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial or construction safety, a relevant degree, and instructor certifications (OSHA 500/510, MSHA Part 48 preferred). Travel and overnight stays are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial or construction safety.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Safety, Engineering, or Management.
• Instructor certifications (OSHA 500/510, MSHA Part 48) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety policies on sites through regular visits and education.
• Identify and correct safety deficiencies on-site with all personnel.
• Teach hands-on safety classes in shop, field, or classroom as needed.
• Encourage safe work practices and maintain positive relationships.
• Inspect job sites to ensure equipment is safe and compliant.
• Document and report safety practices and deficiencies.
• Participate in on-call rotation for safety and compliance.
• Collect data on incidents and report findings to management.

Position Overview

As a Field Safety Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in strengthening the company’s safety culture by promoting best practices and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your leadership will help create a safe and efficient work environment, empowering employees to prioritize safety in every task. This role requires a strong understanding of safety and compliance regulations, as well as general knowledge of environmental and housekeeping best practices. You’ll travel frequently, sometimes for extended periods, to various job sites, providing hands- on support and guidance to teams. If you’re committed to fostering a culture of safety and are willing to work a flexible schedule with overnight stays as needed, this is an excellent opportunity to lead safety initiatives and make a lasting impact in the field.

What You'll Do

• Ensure and enforce that employees follow company, customer, and regulatory agency safety policies and procedures through regular site visits, communication, education, etc.
• Identify and correct deficiencies in safety practices on site with all personnel
• Teach or instruct hands- on safety classes in the shop, field, or classroom as needed
• Encourage employees to perform work safely by maintaining positive relationships
• Inspect job sites to ensure that equipment is set up, utilized, and maintained in a safe and compliant manner
• Document and report company and employee safety practices and deficiencies
• Participate in an on- call rotation for the safety & compliance report hotline and respond to calls regarding workplace incidents
• Collect data concerning incidents, accidents, near misses, and reasonable suspicion reports and relay findings to management

• Works indoors and outdoors in all types of weather on- site at job sites

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years’ experience with Industrial or Construction safety
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or Management, or equivalent education, training, and/or experience
• Completion of or working towards instructor certifications such as OSHA 500, OSHA 510, MSHA Part 48 Trainer Card, etc. preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• EM385-1-1 certification preferred

• Basic knowledge of DOT, OSHA, MSHA, and other safety and compliance regulations
