One of our companies is currently looking for a Field Safety Specialist in Texas .

This is a high-impact, travel-intensive role focused on driving a culture of safety in wind energy operations. The Field Safety Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulations across multiple wind farm sites throughout North America. This role requires hands-on fieldwork in varying and often extreme weather conditions, performing audits, conducting safety training, and supporting high-risk operations. A successful candidate will be a proactive safety advocate with a strong background in wind energy, construction, or industrial safety, capable of leading by example in fast-paced, remote environments.

Accountabilities :

  • Serve as the safety lead on wind farm sites, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Conduct daily safety audits, observations, and walkthroughs to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Facilitate incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and track corrective actions.
  • Support and review critical procedures including JSAs, LOTO, confined space entry, and lift plans.
  • Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and on-site coaching to field personnel.
  • Ensure proper use, inspection, and documentation of safety gear and equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and client EHS representatives to maintain safety excellence.
  • Provide live support during high-risk activities such as turbine climbs, rigging, and platform work.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of safety experience, ideally in wind energy, construction, or industrial field environments.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA 1926 / 1910, ANSI, NFPA 70E, and preferably Canadian OHS standards.
  • Preferred certifications : GWO Basic Safety & Advanced Rescue, OSHA 30, CHST, ASP.
  • Experience in fall protection, rigging, LOTO, suspended work, and electrical safety.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and coaching abilities.
  • Physically capable of climbing up to 400 feet (under 285 lbs for safety compliance).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital safety platforms like Enablon or Monday.com.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to obtain a U.S. passport.
  • Texas or Oklahoma residency preferred. Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
