Job summary

RealREPP is seeking a Field Safety Specialist for heavy civil federal construction projects in South Texas, including border-wall sections. The role supports the Prime Contractor, reports to the SSHO and Director of Safety, and requires OSHA 30 certification for serious consideration.

You will enforce safety plans, participate in field meetings, assess hazards, and help document incidents while overseeing subcontractors and field activities to maintain a safe worksite.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil infrastructure construction experience.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• EM 385-1-1 knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods and techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with field inspections, AHAs/pre-task planning, subcontractor oversight, corrective actions, excavation, heavy equipment, lifting, traffic control and related hazards.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety best practices with theSSHOs and field teams.
• Participate in regular meetings with field personnel and enforce site safety plans.
• Stay up to date on regulations and identify potential workplace hazards.
• Assist with incident reports and documentation.
• Assist with field inspections, subcontractor oversight, traffic control, and correct equipment usage.
• Support Field Leadership in maintaining a safe workplace.
