Job summary

TWC Concrete Construction is seeking a Field Safety Representative to champion on-site safety, coach workers in safe practices, and embed with project teams. The role focuses on observing and correcting unsafe conditions, delivering safety trainings, and ensuring OSHA compliance to protect lives and improve productivity.

Ideal candidates hold a related Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of construction safety experience, with CHST preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or at least four years of concrete/safety construction experience.
• Experience as a field safety professional on construction projects.
• CHST certification and OSHA 510 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the company's safety culture on the project site.
• Assist with project safety compliance and incident reviews.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coach immediate correction.
• Observe MTAs and Toolbox Talks for effectiveness.
• Apply OSHA regulations to the scope of work and conduct safety trainings.

Job description

The Field Safety Representative promotes TWC's safety culture by ensuring every co-worker returns home safely every night. The Field Safety Representative is expected to spend 100% of time in the field observing and coaching co-workers on correction of unsafe conditions and behaviors. Reinforces positive behavior through recognition and/or rewards. Serves as a resource to co-workers by answering questions about safety and sharing lessons learned. Embeds self with the project team and strategically “dives in” using a hands‑on approach to improve project safety, quality and productivity (SQP).

The Field Safety Representative is responsible for the following:

• Promote the company's safety culture by being a safety resource to the project.
• Assist in project compliance with all safety rules and regulations
• Assist with or fully conduct case management, including weekly incident reviews
• Identifies unsafe conditions and behaviors, and coaches the immediate correction to eliminate the condition or behavior
• Observes and coaches co-workers responsible for daily Mission Task Analyses (MTAs) and Tool Box Talks to ensure they are completed effectively.
• Applies all OSHA regulations to the scope of work
• Conducts continual safety review of the project site
• Conducts safety trainings such as fall protection, rigging, equipment operation, confined space and Haz-Com

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or minimum of (4) years of concrete/safety construction experience

Experience:

Field Safety Experience

CHST certification preferred

OSHA 510 preferred
