Job summary

TWC Concrete is seeking a Field Safety Representative who spends all time in the field coaching crews to improve safety, quality and productivity. You will embed with project teams, reinforce safe behaviors, and answer questions on safety practices.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or 4 years of concrete/safety experience; CHST and OSHA 510 are preferred. The role offers competitive pay and opportunities to lead safety initiatives on-site.

Responsibilities

• Promote the company's safety culture by being a safety resource to the project.
• Assist in project compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
• Assist with or fully conduct case management, including weekly incident reviews.
• Identifies unsafe conditions and behaviors, and coaches the immediate correction to eliminate the condition or behavior.
• Observes and coaches co-workers responsible for daily MTAs and Tool Box Talks to ensure they are completed effectively.
• Applies all OSHA regulations to the scope of work.
• Conducts continual safety review of the project site.
• Conducts safety trainings such as fall protection, rigging, equipment operation, confined space and Haz-Com.

Job description

The Field Safety Representative promotes TWC's safety culture by ensuring every co-worker returns home safely every night. The Field Safety Representative is expected to spend 100% of time in the field observing and coaching co-workers on correction of unsafe conditions and behaviors. Reinforces positive behavior through recognition and/or rewards. Serves as a resource to co-workers by answering questions about safety and sharing lessons learned. Embeds self with the project team and strategically “dives in” using a hands‑on approach to improve project safety, quality and productivity (SQP).

The Field Safety Representative is responsible for the following:

• Promote the company's safety culture by being a safety resource to the project.
• Assist in project compliance with all safety rules and regulations
• Assist with or fully conduct case management, including weekly incident reviews
• Identifies unsafe conditions and behaviors, and coaches the immediate correction to eliminate the condition or behavior
• Observes and coaches co-workers responsible for daily Mission Task Analyses (MTAs) and Tool Box Talks to ensure they are completed effectively.
• Applies all OSHA regulations to the scope of work
• Conducts continual safety review of the project site
• Conducts safety trainings such as fall protection, rigging, equipment operation, confined space and Haz-Com

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or minimum of (4) years of concrete/safety construction experience

Experience:

Field Safety Experience

CHST certification preferred

OSHA 510 preferred
