Job summary

Thermosystems, a Daikin group member, seeks a Field Safety Manager in Elmhurst, IL to lead safety programs across Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa. You will conduct audits, ensure compliance, and deliver hands-on safety training for field teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of safety experience in construction, mechanical contracting, industrial, or field service environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
• Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, corrective action planning, and safety training.
• Ability to travel to job sites.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Conduct jobsite safety inspections and audits across Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements.
• Conduct site visits to verify fall protection, lockout/tagout, confined space, electrical safety, and related programs.
• Develop standard operating procedures and safety prequalifications for job sites.
• Investigate accidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage.
• Deliver on-site safety training and annual refresher training.
• Serve as primary safety resource for field employees, customers, and project teams.
• Oversee fleet operations and driver safety programs and ensure vehicles are maintained.
• Partner with external safety consultants to facilitate inspections and implement corrective actions.
