Job summary

WSP seeks a Field Safety Representative/Inspector for a Louisiana project site. You will provide safety inspection support, technical guidance, and oversight to ensure construction compliance with plans, specifications, contract documents, and codified requirements.

The successful candidate leads safety efforts, coordinates inspections, documents findings, and reports to the Division Field Safety Manager and corporate safety team, traveling as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 9 years of relevant post-education safety inspection experience.
• Safety credentials (e.g., CSP, CHST, CSHM, CIH, BS, MS, MPH).
• OSHA 500/501, 10/30/10 ET&D certifications preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Knowledge of construction inspection principles and codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety inspection support and oversight to ensure construction compliance with plans, specs, and codes.
• Lead day-to-day safety policies on projects and align with corporate requirements.
• Prepare and review safety reports, audits, and investigations.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and field staff on safety measures and PPE use.
• Maintain records demonstrating program compliance and orientation for new staff.
