Job summary

Schnabel Engineering is seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to join our Denver, CO office. This full-time position will support projects across North America and may involve extensive travel.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 0–2 years of experience in safety, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining high safety standards. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field, or equivalent experience.
• U.S. Citizen due to government contract requirements.
• 0–2 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Willingness to perform field work and travel.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Health and Safety Officer (HSO) and support Risk Management.
• Provide site safety oversight to meet client requirements on exploration/construction sites.
• Assist Radiation Safety Officer with management of nuclear gauges and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and conduct safety training and site-specific health and safety plans.
• Perform safety inspections and audits on projects.
• Interpret safety rules/regulations and assist with documentation and reporting.
• Assist with prequalification documentation and respond to safety questions.
