Job summary

Fabcon is seeking a proactive Safety Coordinator to support precast concrete erection on a large-scale data center construction project in New Albany, Ohio. This field-focused role requires visible safety leadership, the ability to coach crews in real time, and a commitment to keeping workers safe throughout daily operations.

Qualifications

• Current OSHA 30 Construction certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Experience supporting safety operations on an active construction site.
• Strong knowledge of construction hazards and safe work practices.
• Ability to conduct field observations and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work effectively with craft personnel, supervisors, and project leadership.
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews
• Perform routine field observations and safety inspections
• Monitor and maintain barricades, restricted areas, and controlled work zones
• Perform fire watch activities as required by site operations
• Support spotting operations and critical lifting activities
• Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, and emerging hazards
• Provide immediate safety coaching and corrective guidance to craft personnel
• Assist with daily safety documentation and compliance reporting
• Support the onsite Fabcon Safety Representative with project safety initiatives
• Communicate safety expectations clearly and professionally
• Promote compliance with OSHA standards and site-specific safety procedures
• Help maintain a proactive, accountable, and incident-free safety culture
