Job summary

The Safety Coordinator role for a long-term project in St Teresa NM requires at least three years of construction safety experience and active OSHA certifications. Responsibilities include implementing safety programs, conducting audits, and coordinating with site management to ensure compliance with Federal and State standards.

This is an in-person, full-time position with hourly pay in a dynamic field. Candidates must be proficient in MS Office and capable of managing multiple tasks

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, and coordinate safety policies and programs for the project and others as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company, site, and customer safety policies and with Federal and State standards.
• Conduct safety trainings and document safety audits/inspections.
• Prepare safety presentations and related training material.
• Coordinate safety audits/inspections and develop corrective action plans.
• Conduct root cause investigations on incidents and near misses.
• Coordinate activities with site management and operations teams.

Job description

We are seeking full-time Safety Coordinators for a long-term project in St Teresa NM. St Teresa NM is approximately 25 miles from El Paso TX.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in construction safety, preferably in the telecommunications or electrical industry.
• OSHA 30 & OSHA 510
• Proficient computer knowledge and experience utilizing MS Office (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint & Outlook)
• Must have proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• The Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing, administering, maintaining and coordinating all safety policies and programs including safety training and inspections for the assigned project and others as needed. Ensures compliance with all company and Site/Customer safety policies and procedures, as well as Federal and State Standards.
• Fully support all company and Site/Customer safety policies, procedures and programs and Federal and State Standards.
• Ensure implementation and compliance with Safety Policies, Procedures and Programs and Site/Customer Site Specific Policies, Procedures and Programs.
• Perform safety presentations and develop safety presentations and related training as required.
• Schedule and perform documented jobsite safety audits/inspections to determine compliance with all company and Site/Customer safety policies, procedures and programs and federal, state safety standards.
• Thorough knowledge of confined space entry; along with any documentation or training requirements required.
• Conduct or direct activities aimed at identifying potential hazards and develop safety action plans to correct any non-compliance issues and work with operations and management for implementation.
• As needed, prepare written reports and summaries to provide concise, meaningful information regarding safety audits, investigations and issues. Conduct and coordinate root cause investigations on recordable incidents, near misses and vehicle incidents.
• Coordinate Activities with and support site management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
