Job summary

BELFOR Property Restoration seeks a Field Safety Coordinator to ensure health and safety for employees, subcontractors, and others under BELFOR control. The role drives a proactive safety culture through hazard identification and site-level compliance.

The coordinator conducts routine site visits, leads toolbox talks, oversees training, PPE inventories, and EPA RRP documentation, and serves as a point-of-contact for hazardous materials sampling and regulatory audits.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • EPA Lead RRP Certification.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • English language literacy & fluency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor safety of the office and employees.
  • Conduct daily/weekly walkthroughs to identify hazards before incidents.
  • Visit job sites to ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
  • Hold regular safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Monitor safety training completion and comprehension.
  • Intervene in unsafe work practices and correct deficiencies.
  • Maintain PPE inventories and safety documentation.
  • Oversee EPA RRP program ensuring required documentation.

Job description

The Field Safety Coordinator is responsible for the health and safety of employees, subcontractors, and other parties operating under BELFOR control. They act as a tactical resource to ensure site-level compliance and drive a culture of safety through proactive hazard identification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for monitoring the safety of the office and employees.
  • Conducts daily/weekly walkthroughs to identify hazards before they lead to incidents.
  • Visits job sites to ensure compliance with federal (OSHA), state, and local safety regulations.
  • Holds regular safety meetings and delivers "toolbox talks" to staff.
  • Monitors employee safety training to ensure completion and comprehension.
  • Intervenes in unsafe work practices and interacts with personnel to correct deficiencies.
  • Maintains PPE inventories and accurate safety documentation.
  • Oversees EPA RRP program including assuring compliance with required documentation.
  • Serves as point-of-contact for hazardous materials sampling requirements.
  • Participates in incident investigations at the guidance of the RSM or HSD.
  • Assist in MSHA-specific inspections and related regulatory audits.
  • Monitor specialized environmental monitoring equipment and industrial hygiene data.[Environmental Only]
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
Experience And Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • EPA Lead RRP Certification.
  • Construction, property restoration or insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • English language literacy & fluency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling.
  • Occasional unassisted lifting of up to 50lb (from 0-15% of the time).
  • Able to access and tolerate tight spaces and working at heights.
