Job summary

LJA Engineering seeks a Rodman to transport and set up surveying instruments and prepare job sites. The role involves clearing brush, laying out stakes for elevations, and assisting the survey crew in measuring distances and operating equipment on varied sites.

Ideal candidates are prepared to travel and work in office, field, or behind-the-scenes environments as part of a collaborative, employee-owned team. HS/GED required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients.
• Must be able to lift 25lbs.

Responsibilities

• Transport and set up instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing job site for survey.
• Clear brush or trees away from survey line.
• Lay out stakes to prepare for elevation measurements.
• Holding prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points.
• Measures how far different points are from each other horizontally.
• Help with various pieces of survey equipment.
• Willingness to travel.
