Job summary

Moss is seeking ML, Perception, or Robotics Interns in San Francisco to join a fast-moving team building autonomous field robots for harsh outdoor environments.

You'll work on 3D perception, multimodal ML, sensor fusion, and autonomy, training models on large outdoor datasets and deploying optimized solutions on edge GPUs. Internships include Spring 2027, co-ops, and part-time roles with potential earlier start.

Qualifications

• Impressive ML/vision/perception projects beyond the classroom.
• Strong programming in Python, C++, or Rust.
• Hands-on experience with 3D perception, localization, or sensor fusion.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from research to deployment on real robots.
• Build and evaluate ML, perception, mapping, and autonomy systems.
• Train models on outdoor datasets gathered by our robots.
• Develop sensor fusion across LiDAR, cameras, GPS/IMU, and others.
• Build localization, navigation, controls, and robot behaviors.
• Develop tools for data collection, labeling, training, and simulation.
• Optimize models for latency and edge hardware deployment.
• Test and deploy robotic systems during real-world operations.
• Collaborate with perception, software, electrical, and mechanical engineers.
