Robot.com seeks an Associate Field Deployment Engineer to install, configure, and test robots at new sites across the US, keep fleets running, and fix issues on-site. You will work with engineers and partner teams to launch fleets in weeks, with training and field work emphasizing practical robotics experience.

The role is full-time and entry-level, welcoming new graduates and career changers. You’ll travel to multiple US locations, learn in the field (roughly 80%) with structured training

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related field (new graduates welcome)
• At least 6 months of hands-on technical experience; internships, co-ops, senior design, capstone projects, robotics teams count
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electronic components, circuits; Linux command line
• Basic networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, SSH); strong troubleshooting and attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal English; able to work independently and in a team; willingness to travel to multiple US locations
• Authorized to work in the United States; not eligible for visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test robots and supporting equipment at new and existing sites
• Work with senior engineers on deployment and decommissioning plans
• Troubleshoot hardware, electrical, software, and network issues on-site and perform repairs
• Monitor fleet health and uptime targets; follow safety and operational standards
• Develop and execute site launch plans; improve launch playbooks for faster scaling across cities
• Serve as main contact between field technicians, maintenance, service desk, hardware, and remote operations
• Document deployments, issues, and fixes; write/update SOPs for deployment and support
• Keep workshop organized and prepare robots for next-day operations
