Job summary

FieldAI in Irvine is seeking a Network Solution Engineer to own the connectivity backbone for robotics deployments. You will bring up field routers, optimize Wi-Fi and cellular coverage, and work with customer IT to admit robots onto private networks.

You will triage issues across software, hardware, and networking, build monitoring tools, and translate field learnings into playbooks to improve future deployments.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in field deployment, systems integration, network operations, or IT/NOC.
• Strong networking fundamentals including Wi-Fi, cellular, routers, and IP networking.
• Comfortable with Linux/SSH; scripting in Python/Bash is a plus.
• Clear communicator with customers and site teams in high-stakes settings.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end connectivity for deployments: Wi-Fi, cellular, routers, and customer private networks.
• Bring up and test field routers; ensure robots stay mission-ready.
• Collaborate with customer IT on access-point placement, coverage, and channel adjustments.
• Triage connectivity issues across software, hardware, and networking layers; develop runbooks.
