Job summary

NK Consultancy is seeking a Field RN Case Manager to support workers' compensation in the Chicago/Northern Illinois area. You will be the on-the-road clinical advocate coordinating care and advocating for injured workers.

The role requires an active RN license and prior case management experience, with CCM preferred. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on timely, quality outcomes for clients and employers.

Field RN Case Manager - Workers' Compensation (Chicago Area)

The Impact You’ll Make

As a Field Case Manager, you are the critical link in the recovery process. You will use your clinical expertise and independent judgment to coordinate rehabilitation needs and advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of your clients.

Core Responsibilities:

• Clinical Advocacy: Independently assess injured workers' medical conditions and develop coordinated treatment plans with healthcare providers.
• Care Coordination: Attend medical appointments to ensure continuity of care and alignment with the treatment plan.
• Collaborative Planning: Partner with employers to implement job duty modifications based on medical restrictions and functional assessments.
• Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between injured workers, medical professionals, employers, and insurance representatives.
• Education: Interpret and explain medical instructions to injured workers to ensure understanding and compliance.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed monthly progress reports and document activities in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• Experience: Prior experience in case management is required, with a strong preference for workers' compensation or occupational health backgrounds.
• Certification: Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification is preferred.
• Skills: A strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical practices, and HIPAA regulations.
• Judgment: Demonstrated ability to exercise independent clinical judgment to impact case outcomes.
• Language: Multilingual proficiency is a plus.
