Job summary

Terranova is hiring an experienced oilfield operator to run and maintain drilling and support equipment in the field. This role is based in Berkeley, California, with regular travel to deployment sites.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on multi-discipline wellsite experience, work well outdoors, and be capable of diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues without a degree requirement.

Qualifications

• At least three years of hands-on oilfield or well-service experience.
• Experience across multiple wellsite operations, not a single specialty.
• Working knowledge of drilling fluids, borehole stability, cementing, pumps, valves, hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Operate, transport, set up, maintain, and repair drilling and support equipment.
• Support borehole drilling, stabilization, injection, and pressure-pumping operations.
• Monitor pressures, flow, and equipment performance; respond to field issues.
• Rig up and breakdown pumps, hoses, valves, and pressurized systems.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment and parts.
• Document conditions, issues, repairs, and field learnings.
