Job summary

Terranova in Berkeley, CA seeks an experienced oilfield operator to run drilling, pumping, and support equipment on active sites. This hands-on field role requires comfort with outdoors, travel to deployment sites, and a practical, no-degree approach to problem solving.

You will rig up, operate, and maintain equipment, monitor subsurface conditions, and respond quickly to field issues while documenting results for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• At least three years of hands-on oilfield or well-service experience.
• Experience across multiple parts of wellsite operations.
• Knowledge of drilling fluids, borehole stability, and pumps.
• Ability to rig up and break down field equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors, perform physical work, and troubleshoot.
• Valid driver's license and U.S. permanent residency.

Responsibilities

• Operate Terranova's drilling, pumping, injection, robotic, and support equipment
• Support borehole drilling and pressure-pumping operations
• Monitor pressures, flows, equipment performance and subsurface changes
• Respond to borehole instability, lost circulation, or equipment failures
• Rig up, inspect, operate, and break down pumps, hoses, valves, generators
• Load, secure, transport, stage, and unload equipment and parts
• Operate or support skid steers, loaders, forklifts, trailers, pumps
• Perform preventive maintenance and field repairs
• Document operating conditions and repairs; provide field feedback
• Provide practical field feedback to improve Terranova's equipment and procedures
