Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or public administration.
• One year of experience auditing business financial records or two years of professional accounting experience.
• Ability to travel within the City of Montgomery and occasional travel outside Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct audits of businesses operating within the City of Montgomery.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to supervisors and taxpayers or representatives.
• Initiate enforcement actions against delinquent taxpayers.
• Process amended returns for audit assessments.
• Perform various administrative duties.
