Job summary

Bayer Crop Science in Jerseyville, IL, is seeking a Field Associate II to support an R&D field trial program across crops. You will assist with staff, coordinate with growers, and manage in-season activities using tractors, planters, drones and data tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent completed by December 2026.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to work with connected systems and data management.
• Experience in a collaborative team-based environment.
• Ability to use research agriculture equipment and precision agriculture technology.
• Knowledge of regional crop production and farming practices.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR; DOT/FMCSA readiness.
• Ability to obtain pesticide, drone licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with growers on leased land space and supervise local staff during in-season activities.
• Conduct in-season research activities, phenotyping, study management and data analytics.
• Ensure safe operation and compliance with HSE, quality, and ethics standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver experimental protocols and enable advancement decisions.
• Operate tractors, planters, harvesters, drones and other tech to collect and deliver agronomic data.
• Supervise third-party labor, build internal partnerships, and travel up to 15% seasonally.
