Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a CSS- Student Associate (Shay 4) to assist in field and laboratory tasks with the Grains Team in the Tifton Area. This is a part‑time, 0.50 FTE position supporting field experiments, data collection, and basic lab activities through a split workload.

Preferred candidates have agronomic exposure and tractor experience, and demonstrate strong communication and organization. This role starts 08/30/2026 and is open until filled.

Qualifications

• Experience driving tractors is preferred
• Agronomic experience is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Field Work/Data Collection: assist with preparing trial supplies, study setup, data collection outdoors across South Georgia.
• Laboratory Work: support basic lab tasks, sample processing, lab maintenance, and data collection training.
