Job description

Seneca Foods Corporation’s Glencoe, MN facility is currently seeking a Full Time Field Representative. The role involves procuring raw product from growers, contracting, planting, and harvesting pea and sweet corn acreage in defined locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a plan to contract crop acres.
• Issue seed, plant, survey for weeds and other pests, stake fields, sample crops, procure labor and equipment.
• Supervise harvest of peas and sweet corn acreage, and maintain accurate records.
• Encourage good grower and community relations.
• Ensure that GMP’s and safety rules and regulations are followed and enforced.
• Cross‑train with other departments as opportunities arise.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Four‑year degree in Agriculture or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Must be knowledgeable in all general agriculture areas.
• Must demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills; high work ethic and leadership/supervisory skills; written and oral communication skills.

Starting wage range based on skills, abilities, and experience from $62k to $72k.
