Field Repair Technician

Compensation: $55,000 - $60,000 / year

Description

Twin Cities Siding Professionals is seeking a dependable, hands-on Field Technician to join our team in Eden Prairie, MN.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting exterior home inspections, performing repairs, managing warranty and service requests, and coordinating subcontractors when needed. You will work directly with homeowners to assess concerns, provide solutions, and ensure work is completed efficiently and to our quality standards.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, and comfortable working independently in the field. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections of roofing, siding, windows, and other exterior home components.
• Assess repair and warranty requests to determine the appropriate scope of work.
• Perform minor to moderate exterior repairs as needed.
• Identify workmanship concerns, material defects, and other issues requiring corrective action.
• Manage assigned repair and warranty jobs from initial assessment through completion.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors for repairs requiring additional labor or specialized expertise.
• Monitor job progress and ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Conduct follow-up inspections to verify quality and completion.
• Communicate repair findings, project updates, and next steps to homeowners and internal team members.
• Maintain detailed job records, photographs, scheduling updates, and completion notes in the company CRM.
• Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards.
• Follow up with homeowners to confirm satisfaction after repairs are completed.
• Identify additional maintenance or repair needs and communicate findings to the appropriate internal team.
• Travel between multiple job sites throughout the workday.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 1+ year of experience in roofing, siding, windows, exterior construction, home repairs, or a related field.
• General knowledge of exterior home construction, installation, and repair techniques.
• Ability to assess exterior damage and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and basic construction equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, email, scheduling tools, and CRM systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely climb ladders and access rooftops.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to kneel, bend, climb, and maneuver in tight spaces.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings or Saturdays based on project and customer needs.
