Job summary

Cencora, Inc. is seeking a Field Reimbursement Specialist to educate provider offices on logistics for in-office administration, billing, and coverage strategies within a high-travel territory. This role focuses on access support, payer policies, and clear communication with healthcare staff.

The position requires travel up to 80% within the specified territory, with weekly trips and occasional overnights. Strong knowledge of buy-and-bill processes and revenue cycle is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Ability to conduct field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and consultation to key account customers and cross-functional partners.
• Understands the dynamics of Specialty Pharmacy vs. Specialty Distribution.
• Deep understanding of medical and pharmacy benefits/policies.
• Experience in revenue cycle, buy and bill, formulary, benefit investigations, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.

Responsibilities

• Educate provider office staff and practice managers on logistics needed to support client product and in-office administration.
• Educate on payers’ coverage management strategies including coding, billing, formulary, prior authorization, and appeal processes.
• Probe to understand office processes and root causes of access or reimbursement issues
• Deliver interactive educational presentations at provider sites of service
• Provide information on reimbursement topics related to client’s products based on client approval
• Perform other duties as assigned
