Overview

The Field Access & Reimbursement environment for specialty biologics is highly challenging for HCPs and Patients. Payer Formularies and restrictive Utilization Management Criteria requires dedicated and focused customer facing support through our Reimbursement Management Team. Our Field Reimbursement Managers (FRM) will be a front-line member of our Commercial and Field Reimbursement Management team. We provide best-in-class support minimizing reimbursement and process approval barriers for a better patient journey and access to needed therapy. The FRM position will navigate across multiple interested parties, sales teams, Payer teams, HUB, etc. This position covers our current and future rare disease portfolio. We support prescribing/treating HCPs and office staff acquiring appropriate and timely patient access to our rare disease products. Additionally, this will be key in the rollout of reimbursement information updates and brand specific strategies.

Typical day
  • Establishing HCP/office, understanding of access services/support, including patient-specific coverage, channel acquisition, and site of care options including infusion centers
  • Supporting the identification of potential site of care locations for patient treatment, on-boarding of site and ongoing site account management
  • Ensuring optimal patient access, effective account- and patient-level pull-through
  • Ongoing monitoring for patient compliance and adherence to treatment
  • Develop an encouraging and collaborative relationship with our Regional Directors and Account Specialists educating physician offices in coverage, coding of our products
  • Daily case update meetings with HUB and communication of the case status to field partners
  • Provide support to sales partners via distribution of reimbursement materials and assistance to physician offices, infusion centers and HUB program partners
This role might be for you if you:
  • Are patient focused with expertise supporting healthcare provider offices with medical coding, claims/billing processes and submissions of both public and private insurers.
  • Have experience in payor authorization and appeal processes for both commercial and government payor environment
  • Are an ethical teammate and can work in a cross-functional team environment - with creative ideas and positive energy.
  • Possess excellent organizational, project management and communication skills
Requirements

To be considered you are required to have a Bachelor’s degree. Your experience should include 5-10 years' pharmaceutical/biotech/device experience, including areas of rare disease, cardio-metabolic diseases, including Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia. Preferred areas of experience include market access. Strong preference for Buy & Bill and Specialty Pharmacy previous rare disease experience. Knowledge of private payer (MCO), Medicare, and Medicaid structures, systems, methodology, and reimbursement policies and processes.

Must be willing to travel up to 30-40%
