Job description

Job Title: Field Reimbursement Manager – Hemophilia

Location: Remote – Field Based (East and West regions)
Travel: Up to 75% (3–4 days/week)
Pay Rate: $64.90/hour
Duration: 1 year, potential to extend
Positions Available: 2 (East Coast & West Coast Regions)


Position Overview:

We are seeking two highly motivated and experienced Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs) specializing in Hemophilia to support patient access, provider education, and reimbursement for innovative therapies. This field-based role requires significant travel and close collaboration with internal stakeholders, healthcare providers, and specialty pharmacies. The FRM will play a critical role in facilitating patient access and navigating complex reimbursement environments.


Key Responsibilities:
Reimbursement & Access Support
  • Serve as the primary reimbursement expert and point of contact for HCPs and internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot insurance issues, investigate out-of-pocket costs, and support benefits verification and prior authorizations in coordination with patient access hub.
  • Provide support for appeals, claim denials, and reimbursement obstacles in collaboration with billing and coding personnel.
  • Monitor healthcare policy changes and reimbursement trends affecting hemophilia products.
  • Support launch and education efforts for newer hemophilia therapies.
Provider Engagement
  • Educate providers on reimbursement processes, financial assistance programs, and patient access pathways.
  • Deliver approved materials and coding guides to HCP offices.
  • Work closely with patient liaisons, case managers, nurses, and billing staff to support access to therapies.
  • Proactively resolve reimbursement barriers and escalate complex issues as needed.
Internal Collaboration & Reporting
  • Partner with internal field teams (Sales, Market Access, Marketing) to share best practices and address geographic-specific challenges.
  • Participate in training, team meetings, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Report reimbursement trends and field insights to leadership.
  • Manage and track field activities through CRM and reimbursement tracking systems.
  • Maintain responsibility for individual travel budgets and expense submissions.

Qualifications:
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Science, Healthcare, or Business).
  • 4+ years of pharmaceutical sales or reimbursement experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of field reimbursement experience (Buy & Bill and pharmacy model).
  • In-depth understanding of US payer systems (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).
  • Strong knowledge of HUB services, insurance processes, and reimbursement practices.
  • Experience supporting access to specialty and rare disease therapies.
Preferred
  • Experience in hemophilia or rare disease reimbursement.
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution process.
  • Advanced degree or healthcare certification is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with HCPs and internal teams.
  • Technical understanding of J-codes, billing, prior authorizations, and appeals processes.
  • Proficient with CRM and field reporting systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role.
  • Empathy and dedication to improving patient access and outcomes.
  • Compliance knowledge including HIPAA and regulatory guidelines.
