Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Field Reimbursement Manager to support patient access in our gastroenterology portfolio. You will leverage account management, data analytics, and reimbursement expertise to enable timely product access across assigned geographies.

You will build relationships with Patient Services, Field Sales, and HCPs; educate on prior authorizations and appeals; analyze data to identify access barriers and drive solutions. Travel up to 75% is expected.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree with 6-9 years in field reimbursement, patient services, market access, or related pharma/biotech functions.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with Patient Services Program Partners, Field Sales, and Healthcare Providers to support patient access.
• Educate HCPs on prior authorization, appeals, and/or denials to support the patient journey.
• Review patient-specific information when sites request assistance resolving coverage challenges.
• Identify and address patient/HCP access barriers with internal/external stakeholders; implement updates based on solutions.
• Use HUB and specialty pharmacy partners to remove access barriers.
• Monitor patient start trends and proactively mitigate challenges with Field Sales and Patient Services partners.
• Maintain knowledge of payor/prescriber market dynamics and distribution channels (HUB/specialty).
• Serve as subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, and Commercial.
• Adapt to the changing healthcare ecosystem to customize resourcing and messaging.

The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) supports the patient access process for the gastroenterology business, leveraging account management, data analytics, and reimbursement expertise to facilitate timely access to products. Executes a collaborative territory strategic plan, navigates patient support programs, and serves as an access and reimbursement expert for assigned geographies.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree with 6-9 years in field reimbursement, patient services, market access, or related pharma/biotech functions (or equivalent)
• 3-5 years as a field reimbursement manager in public/private field reimbursement/access or healthcare operations
• Extensive knowledge of medication access channels (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy and insurance/benefits (eligibility, benefit verification, prior auth, coverage, appeals, financial assistance, co-pay support/free product programs)
• Knowledge of HCP office processes (patient/prescription flow, clinic operations); GI experience/providers preferred
• Strong customer, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to influence cross-functionally
• Ability to evaluate data, identify trends/barriers, and translate into actionable steps

Work Environment

• Reports to a Director, Field Access and Reimbursement
• Up to 75% travel; varies by territory/business need
