Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Field Reimbursement Manager in Milwaukee, WI to serve as a compliant SME in reimbursement, access, and specialty distribution across the territory. You will educate HCP offices on coverage status, prior authorization, and alternate funding options, while building relationships with providers and health-system stakeholders.

The role requires 8+ years in pharma/biotech healthcare, with prior reimbursement experience and 3–6 years supporting Specialty

Qualifications

• 8+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/related healthcare.
• Experience with prior reimbursement processes (prior authorizations; US payer landscape).
• 3–6 years supporting Specialty Pharmaceuticals/Biologics.
• HIPAA and patient confidentiality knowledge.
• Bilingual English/Spanish desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as compliant SME in reimbursement, access, and specialty distribution for assigned geography.
• Educate HCP offices on coverage status, prior authorization, appeals, and alternate funding options.
• Build relationships with HCPs, office staff, and health system stakeholders.
• Analyze payer coverage trends, reimbursement criteria, and payer mix.
• Advise on specialty pharmacy services and support navigation of distribution channels.
• Partner with Patient Support for benefit investigations and streamlined onboarding.
• Collaborate to develop local access strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and execute territory-level business plans.
• Resolve reimbursement issues, elevate cases as needed, and participate in field problem-solving.
• Identify process improvements to enhance patient access and provider satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with legal/regulatory/company policies, including patient privacy and promotional conduct.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in an allied health field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/related healthcare.
• Prior reimbursement experience required (prior authorizations; navigating US payer landscape).
• 3–6 years supporting Specialty Pharmaceuticals/Biologics.
• Deep understanding of reimbursement/access/specialty pharmacy operations.
• Experience supporting product launches and/or insurance approval processes.
• Knowledge of specialty pharmacy distribution models and patient services programs.
• HIPAA and federal/state patient confidentiality/communications knowledge.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desired.
• Strong communication/interpersonal skills; trust-building with providers and internal partners.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and managing multiple cases.
• Digital fluency with CRM and technology-enabled patient support tools (including AI).
