Job description

Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM)

Responsible for managing an assigned territory focused on supporting reimbursement and patient services for a specific drug. The role provides assistance with benefit investigation, prior authorization, claims assistance, and appeals, and educates the office on payer landscape and available services through remote interaction and on-site training. Client-facing and customer-facing duties include building relationships with physician offices and manufacturer representatives to deliver services based on customer preferences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site and on-demand education (including Lunch & Learns and Dinner presentations) for office staff regarding reimbursement challenges and available support services. Attend approximately 15 on-site/virtual interactions per week and record activities in the FRM CRM. Report weekly to the manager.
  • Educate on benefit investigation, prior authorization processes, support center services, Medicare and commercial coverage, and patient communication streams. Submit monthly activity reports and trend quarterly data for the client.
  • Support case management, billing and coding updates, appropriate claims submission, specialty pharmacy, medical benefit interpretation, claims and appeal assistance, and patient assistance programs. Collaborate with case managers averaging 4 interactions per month and track all assistance in the FRM CRM and hub system.
  • Set appointments and complete outbound calls to targeted offices; complete backlog casework and day‑to‑day in‑office duties. Interface with physicians and manufacturer representatives to obtain and provide patient and provider information. Record all interactions in the FRM CRM.
  • Monitor program performance for physicians and manufacturer representatives. Track daily performance via the FRM CRM dashboard and identify trends for quarterly reporting. Clients may also survey customers on program performance.
  • Research and compile provider and manufacturer representative specific information for the reimbursement database. Create a facility database in the FRM CRM for each new provider.
Minimum Job Qualifications
  • 4‑year degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of healthcare‑related reimbursement experience
Business Experience
  • Strong medical reimbursement experience with buy‑and‑bill and/or specialty pharmacy
  • Experience supporting oncology products preferred
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, including insurance verification, prior authorizations, claim adjudication, or physician office/clinic settings
  • Experience with Medicare and commercial insurance coverage
  • Ability to deliver and document benefit investigation outcomes and provide regular status reports
  • Proven presentation skills and experience
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong computer literacy, including PowerPoint and web meeting experience
Specialized Knowledge / Skills
  • Previous field experience (a plus)
  • Previous experience with specialty pharmacy (a plus)
  • Account management experience (a plus)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
Travel Requirements
  • Must reside in the territory and be able to travel 80% of the time (approximately four days a week) via automobile or plane.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record/MVR.
Physical Requirements

Possible long periods of sitting and/or keyboard work. General office demands.

Compensation

Competitive total rewards package, including base pay, bonus, and long‑term incentive opportunities. Base pay range: $80,300 – $133,800.
