Job summary

Flotek Industries, Inc. seeks a highly skilled Systems Integration Engineer to lead mechanical, electrical, optical, and fluidic packaging of analytical tech into rugged field-ready products. You will bridge optical analytics with tailored, customer-specific systems.

A key focus is leading integration for water-quality measurement projects in harsh environments, alongside existing gas and liquid hydrocarbon applications. Interdisciplinary work includes 3D CAD and hands-on field deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related technical field.
5+ years hands-on experience in product design, systems integration, or custom panel design.
Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) with GD&T and drafting standards.
Experience with DC power distribution, PLCs, ethernet switches, cell modems, and industrial PCs.

Responsibilities

Lead evaluation, sourcing, and integration of diverse third-party sensors into the core platform.
Design and specify custom sample conditioning systems for liquid and gas streams.
Own layout, wiring, and thermal management of industrial enclosures including heat load calculations.
Select wetted materials (316SS, Hastelloy, Monel, PTFE) for corrosive streams; ensure long-term reliability.
Create engineering documentation: drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, BOMs, manuals.
Travel to customer sites for installation, SAT, and field troubleshooting.
