Job summary

BARANKO BROTHERS, INC. in Dickinson, ND seeks a Heavy Equipment Lube Technician to own the Preventive Maintenance Program. You will monitor service intervals, perform PM work in shop and field, document results, and ensure the fleet remains field-ready.

You will coordinate with operators and supervisors, conduct oil and filter changes, fluid sampling, and inspections, and escalate repairs as needed. A strong mechanical aptitude and ability to manage PM schedules in HCSS 360 are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of heavy equipment preventive maintenance.
• Own a complete set of personal hand tools; company provides specialty tools.
• Experience with heavy equipment or lube trucks preferred.
• CDL with HazMat endorsement preferred; ability to obtain within six months.
• DOT medical, testing, licensing and driving-record requirements must be met.
• Basic computer skills and PM scheduling in HCSS 360.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete PM program by monitoring hours and service intervals and following up on overdue PMs.
• Perform scheduled oil/filters changes, lubrication, fluid checks and sampling in shop and field.
• Complete thorough inspections and identify leaks, wear, damage, or safety defects.
• Escalate major repairs or unsafe equipment immediately to supervisor or lead.
• Document meter readings, labor, parts, and inspections in HCSS E360 before closing work orders.
• Maintain lube truck and inventory; ensure safe handling of regulated materials.
• Coordinate with operators, foremen, and service personnel per procedures.
