The position of Field Quality Technician will assist the Director of Quality Assurance & Control with the development, oversight, training, and operational administration of quality policies, procedures, and work practices of the Landmark Quality Management System.

Essential Functions:
  • Support activities and implementation of Landmark’s Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Assurance & Control (QAC) systems.
  • Assess the Landmark QAC system, reviewing and analyzing the effectiveness of respective policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that quality issues are routinely discussed by all levels of management.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Develop/conduct audits to ensure compliance with Landmark QAC and EHS systems.
  • Provide program administration to ensure all aspects of the project produce a quality result.
  • Develop/perform quality-focused training for employees and subcontractors.
  • Conduct periodic quality and safety inspections of worksites to identify and correct poor quality results or unsafe conditions and unsafe acts, and document relevant results.
  • Investigate, assess, and document non-conformances and quality deficiencies.
  • Ensure that quality assessments are completed throughout each project and provide crews with the necessary tools and training to safely perform work meeting Landmark’s standard of quality.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry quality issues, trends, regulatory changes, etc.
Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and acting on QAC management guidance with respect to overall quality objectives.
  • Daily work is generally self-directed and independent of others.
  • Role operates within QAC & EHS policy guidelines and requires independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives.
  • Role actively supports initiatives of the Landmark QAC system including Concrete Services.
Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a field related to the essential functions of this position or an industry-specific certification and minimum of three (3) years of experience of progressive responsibility in similar positions.
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of quality management processes in concrete construction or related environment.
  • Exposure to concrete construction and/or concrete manufacturing environments with respect to quality system functions.
  • Professional certification and training in an industry affiliated organization is preferred.
