Job summary

Michels Pipeline, Inc. is seeking a Field Quality Manager in Charlotte, NC to oversee QA/QC programs in the field.

The role requires conducting on-site inspections, ensuring compliance with project specs and industry standards, and working independently in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have 3+ years of QA/QC experience in the pipeline sector, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to travel across the United States.

Qualifications

• 3+ years or more of QA/QC experience within Pipeline industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel across the United States.
• Must possess a valid driver license and acceptable driving record.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or AMPP Coating Inspector (Level 1–3) are desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, isometrics, and specifications (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and compliance of Michels’ QA/QC programs in the field.
• Conduct on-site inspections and routine assessments to ensure work meets quality, project specifications, and industry standards.
• Support field operations with QA/QC guidance and ensure consistency across projects.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to promote safety and quality in fast-paced environments.
