Job summary

Michels Pipeline, Inc. is seeking a Field Quality Manager to oversee field QA/QC programs, conduct on-site inspections, and ensure work meets project specs and industry standards.

This role requires independent work, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. You will travel across the United States to support multiple projects, coordinating with field teams to maintain quality, safety, and compliance, while leveraging your pipeline QA/QC expertise

Qualifications

• 3+ years QA/QC experience within pipeline industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel across the United States.
• Must possess a valid driver license.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and AMPP Coating Inspector (Level 1-3) are desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, isometrics, and specifications (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation and compliance of Michels’ QA/QC programs in the field.
• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure work meets quality expectations, project specs and industry standards.
• Coordinate with multiple groups to promote safety, accuracy and timely project delivery.

As a Field Quality Manager, you will support field operations by overseeing the implementation and compliance of Michels’ QA/QC programs in the field. This role is responsible for conducting on-site inspections and performing routine assessments to ensure work meets quality expectations, project specifications, and industry standards. Success in this position requires the ability to work independently, strong attention to detail, and the capacity to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What it takes:

• 3+ years or more of QA/QC experience within Pipeline industry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel across the United States
• Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven, and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team.
• Related Industry Certifications such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), AMPP Coating Inspector (Level 1 - 3) (desired)
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, isometrics, and specifications (desired)
