If the answers are, “Yes!” we have an opportunity for you. Who are we? We are ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies. We are looking for a highly motivated Field Quality Manager who is passionate about the construction process. At ARCO, every associate is empowered to drive their success. You’ll be responsible for project performance and profit from day one.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
Trade Partner Coordination & Inspection Oversight
  • Oversee all site inspection efforts, resolving unsatisfactory work items with Trade Partners through to final formal acceptance.
  • Review all submittals generated by Trade Partners for project-specific compliance, assuring consistent conformance to the QCP.
  • Coordinate technical advice and operational support from engineering, administration, safety, and inspection services.
  • Review Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) testing documentation cooperatively with Trade Partners, engineers, and inspectors.
  • Manage third-party testing and inspection firms, reviewing testing mandates and coordinating all field inspection events.
Field Execution & Testing Plans
  • Perform, verify, and formally document the Three Phases of Control (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-up), Final Inspections, project closeout metrics, and LEED compliance.
  • Review plans and specifications for assigned projects to estimate the type and total number of QA tests required for each individual specification section.
  • Ensure all materials arriving on-site are properly inspected by trade partners using the designated On-Site Material Checklist in Procore.
  • Track compliance metrics to assure open Noncompliance Report (NCR) items are completed, corrected, and accepted in a timely fashion.
Meeting Management & Scheduling
  • Prepare, present, and coordinate all aspects required for the formal acceptance of the Construction Quality Control Plan.
  • Take accurate, complete meeting minutes—including editing and reviewing the minutes of previous meetings—and distribute them timely.
  • Schedule all required construction meetings with internal personnel, Trade Partners, architects, and owners.
  • Review project schedules, monitor the status of work-in-progress, track rework items, and analyze tasks to be accomplished over the trailing three-week window.
Documentation & Contract Administration
  • Maintain and update critical project logs via Procore and/or Egnyte explicitly managing the master Submittal Register and the Non-Compliance Register.
  • Ensure all required project as-built drawings are verified and kept current on a strict daily basis.
  • Prepare complete, accurate, and timely submittal logs for construction projects based directly on project drawings and specifications.
  • Receive approved submittals from the Architect or Engineer and proactively notify the Project Superintendent of any potential schedule impacts.
  • Assist the Design-Build Manager (DBM) by preparing all necessary technical backup documentation relating to project change requests.
Project Communications & Closeout
  • Draft, track, and manage official project correspondence with the Owner, Architect, Engineers, Trade Partners, and Suppliers (including Schedule of Values, schedules, memos, RFIs, transmittals, and submittals).
  • Document the overall quality and progress of each individual Trade Partner and Supplier, updating them immediately regarding changes to plans, specifications, or schedules.
  • Take personal accountability for the timely completion and submission of all required project closeout documents per contract guidelines.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, plus a minimum of three (3) years of related experience in the specific type of construction work being performed on the project.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related construction experience, paired with an active Construction Materials Technician Level III certification from NICET or Associates degree in Construction Management.
  • Contract Administration: Holds the explicit knowledge and completed training required to administer contract requirements and enforce the master Quality Control Plan (QCP).
  • Interpersonal Coordination: Ability to successfully coordinate technical advice, inspection services, safety protocols, and engineering support across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Procore project management software (specifically tracking field data and using the On-Site Material Checklist).
  • Authority & Trends Integration: Proven capacity to review testing trends and exercise the contract authority required to restructure a Trade Partner’s QC organization or execution plan.
