Job summary

State of Maine, Project Development - Regional Program, seeks a Technician to perform a variety of technical tasks in the field and office, potentially serving as Chief Inspector or Resident on active construction projects. The role involves monitoring and enforcing contract plans, ensuring quality and compliance, and assisting with pavement preservation design work for regional projects.

A strong engineering background and data analysis skills are expected, with emphasis on independent work.

Qualifications

• Education, training, and/or experience in engineering or a technical field demonstrating competency in reviewing technical plans, drafting diagrams and reports, collecting data, and analyzing datasets for trends.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and enforcing the contractors TCP, SEWPCP, and QC Plan.
• Ensuring work inspected meets standard specifications and contract requirements and is tested per policy and meets quality expectations.
• Detailing, designing, and estimating quantities for Regional led pavement preservation or rehabilitation design projects.
