Job summary

Electrolux Group North America seeks a Field Quality Engineer to drive product quality for WB&SDA in North America. You will translate field performance data into actionable insights, partnering with Quality, R&D, and Product Care to elevate reliability and customer experience.

You’ll own regional field quality reporting, guide corrective actions, and support new product development with field targets and performance expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, equivalent experience considered.
  • 3+ years in quality engineering, field quality, or product performance analysis in manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with root cause methodologies.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and product development lifecycle.
  • Experience analyzing warranty, service, or consumer data to drive improvements.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration, with 20% travel ability.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize Voice of Consumer data from warranties, service data, returns, and feedback.
  • Identify trends and quality risks; translate insights into improvement initiatives.
  • Lead root cause analyses (8D, 5 Whys) and drive corrective actions across functions.
  • Track quality issues, escalate and follow up with stakeholders.
  • Partner with Supplier Quality, R&D, and Product Care to improve performance.
  • Own regional field quality reporting, including KPIs and trend analysis.
  • Coordinate return and analysis of defective products to support investigations.
  • Support new product development with field insights and performance targets.
  • Deploy quality tools like service bulletins and troubleshooting guides for field teams.
  • Provide training and feedback loops with service technicians and Customer Service teams.
  • Contribute to Brand Licensing quality activities and share global best practices.

Where you’ll be:

This position will be based at our Corporate Headquarters located in Charlotte, NC.

About the Role:

The Field Quality Engineer plays a critical role in driving product quality and consumer satisfaction for the Wellbeing & Small Domestic Appliances (WB&SDA) business in North America. As part of the Global Quality & Compliance organization, this role serves as the Voice of the Consumer (VoC) lead—translating field performance data into actionable insights that improve product reliability and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize Voice of Consumer data including warranty claims, service data, returns, and customer feedback
  • Identify trends and emerging quality risks, translating insights into actionable improvement initiatives
  • Lead root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys) and drive cross‑functional alignment on corrective actions
  • Track and manage quality issues, ensuring timely escalation, resolution, and follow‑up across stakeholders
  • Partner with Supplier Quality, R&D, and Product Care teams to implement corrective actions and improve product performance
  • Own and continuously improve regional field quality reporting, including KPIs, scorecards, and trend analysis
  • Coordinate return and analysis of defective products and components to support technical investigations
  • Support new product development by providing field insights, quality targets, and performance expectations
  • Deploy quality improvement tools such as service bulletins and troubleshooting guides to field teams
  • Support training, technical guidance, and feedback loops with service technicians and Customer Service teams
  • Contribute to Brand Licensing quality activities, ensuring licensed products meet Electrolux standards
  • Collaborate across global and regional teams to share best practices and improve quality processes
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field; equivalent experience considered
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality engineering, field quality, or product performance analysis within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience in root cause methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and product development lifecycle
  • Experience analyzing warranty, service, or consumer data to drive improvements
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • Willingness to travel within North America as needed - 20%
Preferred Qualification:
  • Experience in consumer durable goods or appliance industries
  • Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC)
  • Knowledge of product functionality, components, and common failure modes
