Job summary

Royal Engineers and Consultants, LLC seeks a Quality Control Manager to administer the project quality program on a data center construction project in the field. You will develop inspection and test plans, manage NCRs, and ensure installed work meets contract docs and manufacturer requirements before commissioning.

Based on North Louisiana, Virginia, and Corpus Christi, TX, the role involves travel and potential relocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum 7 years of quality control experience on commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Strong working knowledge of inspection and test plan development and nonconformance management.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications.
• Experience with quality documentation and reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project quality control plan, including inspection and test plans (ITPs) for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP scopes.
• Conduct field inspections and document inspection test records (ITRs) for critical installations, including foundations, structural steel, electrical terminations, and mechanical piping.
• Manage the nonconformance report (NCR) process, including identification, root cause tracking, corrective action, and closeout verification.
• Coordinate quality requirements for commissioning readiness, including pre-functional checklists and system turnover packages.
• Review subcontractor quality control plans and confirm compliance with project specifications and manufacturer installation requirements.
• Maintain the master punch list and track completion of corrective work through final closeout.
• Lead quality control meetings with subcontractors and maintain quality metrics for the project executive team.
• Compile quality documentation, including ITRs, NCRs, and test reports, for the project closeout and turnover package.
