Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to develop, implement, and maintain project QA plans in accordance with FAR and CQM requirements. You will review submittals, coordinate with field staff, and lead quality inspections to ensure conformance with design specifications.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of relevant experience, US citizenship, ability to pass a federal background check, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
• US citizenship and ability to pass federal background checks.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.
• Experience with Federal construction quality programs.
• Knowledge of FAR, CQM and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the QA Surveillance Plan (QASP) in compliance with FAR, CQM, and contract specs.
• Perform daily quality inspections and document progress to ensure standards are met.
• Oversee QC meetings with stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and materials for conformance.
• Coordinate with field supervisors, PMs, and government reps to address non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection reports, test results, NCRs, and corrective action logs.
• Collaborate with safety and project controls to ensure integrated quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
• Verify testing and inspection by qualified personnel and approved labs.
• Participate in project meetings, audits, and final inspections to verify acceptance criteria.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying quality trends and process enhancements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
