smart-infrastructure is seeking a Quality Assurance Representative II to support QA activities on construction projects in Port St. Lucie, FL. The role focuses on monitoring construction, verifying compliance with plans and quality standards, and aiding the project team in addressing quality issues.

The ideal candidate has a strong construction background with heavy civil project experience and must be comfortable in active construction environments and on rough terrain.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction.
• 5+ years of experience on heavy civil projects.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities to ensure work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specs, contract requirements, and quality standards.
• Perform field inspections of ongoing construction activities and document observations, deficiencies, and quality concerns.
• Verify materials, workmanship, and construction processes meet project requirements.
• Identify potential quality issues and communicate them to the appropriate project personnel.
• Assist in tracking corrective actions and verify deficiencies are addressed.
• Maintain organized inspection records, reports, checklists, and other project documentation.
• Prepare daily or periodic quality assurance reports based on field observations and inspections.
