Job summary

Cinterra is seeking a QC Technician to oversee and execute the site‑specific Quality Control Program on solar utility projects. The role requires strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving in a hands‑on construction environment.

Responsibilities include applying SOPs and QC checklists, reviewing plans, assisting with RFIs, managing inspections, and maintaining accurate QC records for customer submission. Travel to sites is required, with exposure to varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years solar electrical experience.
• NFPA 70E certification preferred.
• Experience with electrical testing procedures and digital documentation.
• Familiar with AHJ standards and NEC code.
• Able to read and interpret plans, specifications, and equipment standards.
• Familiarity with construction means and methods for utility-scale solar & substations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to communicate with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors and stakeholders.
• Good computer skills and proficiency with quality management software
• Willingness to travel frequently and work outside regular hours.
• Possess a valid US driver's license.
• Site Based - Full Time Travel Required.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot/cold weather.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate safety as a core value throughout the company, supporting the safety program.
• Apply SOPs, SWIs, and QC checklists.
• Review project design, drawings, and specifications.
• Assist site management with RFIs and Submittals.
• Manage and execute quality control inspections.
• Upload inspections and photos to the QC Program software.
• Identify, communicate, and track non-conformance material, installation, or QC test results.
• Assist construction team with identified non-conformance remediation.
• Assist QC Supervisor with tracking and closing out incomplete inspections and non-conformance issues.
• Ensure QC records are accurate, uniform, and maintained prior to submission to the customer.
• Ensure inspections, testing and documentation are submitted per contract requirements.
• Provide support to other Cinterra divisions as needed.
• Handle special assignments and other duties as requested by leadership.
