Responsibilities

• Inspect grading, forms, reinforcing steel placement, and embedded items prior to concrete placement.
• Perform fresh concrete testing, including temperature, air content, unit weight, yield, and concrete cylinder sampling.
• Identify, store, and transport concrete strength specimens to the laboratory.
• Inspect concrete placement, finishing, and curing operations.
• Verify work is performed in accordance with plans, specs, and submittals.
• Maintain accurate records of testing and inspections.
• Observe grading and compaction of aggregates, soil, and sand bedding.
• Inspect trenching, conduit and pipe installation, and backfill.
• Perform field testing such as gradation, moisture content, and sand cone density.
• Document testing results and field observations.
• Observe conduit installation and verify conformity with plans.
