Job summary

Integra is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support both electrical and mechanical quality functions in mission-critical environments. You will ensure the integrity, compliance, and performance of systems through inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation on site in Houston, TX.

You will lead root cause analyses, develop ITPs, and mentor QA technicians while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and field operations to uphold safety and quality standards across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality assurance or field engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• ASQ CQE or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Hands-on field commissioning, inspection and testing of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and NFPA 70E quality codes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and verifications of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with NE, ASME, AWS, ASTM, IEC, and IEEE standards.
• Develop and execute QA inspection and test plans (ITPs) for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Conduct equipment testing, torque checks, and alignment verification.
• Lead root cause analyses and CAPA for nonconformities.
• Audit suppliers and subcontractors for quality adherence to UL/CSA/NRTL standards.
• Maintain QA documentation including NCRs and test data logs.
• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and field supervisors to address quality concerns.
• Provide technical training and mentoring for QA technicians and field inspectors.
