What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform property risk control and underwriting surveys for clients across various industries
- Advise clients on hazard control measures to reduce or prevent property losses
- Provide technical support and guidance in fire protection and loss prevention to manufacturing plants and offices
- Conduct reviews of architectural and engineering plans for fire safety systems and provide feedback
- Investigate fire losses and prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings

What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Highly Protected Risk engineering or consulting
- Experience in a consulting role with a Property Insurance Company
- Knowledge of NFPA and/or FM Global standards and fire protection systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel more than 50 miles from the office 75% of the time

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Assembly of Construction, Occupancy, Protection, and Exposure (COPE) Data
- Experience assessing high hazard occupancies, including flammable liquids and combustible dusts
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Self-sufficient and organized with a proactive approach to problem-solving
