Job summary

Tevis Family of Companies is seeking a Propane Technician to install propane tanks and gas lines in the field and in customers’ homes in Hampstead, MD. You will perform safety gas checks and work with construction equipment, with training provided to obtain propane certifications and licenses.

The role requires a CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements, ability to handle physical tasks, and willingness to work a flexible schedule including after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and Homeland Security background check.
• Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Construction, plumbing or propane experience.
• Working knowledge of tools needed for job.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and safe service to customers during tank and line installations.
• Move heavy objects and perform digging/backfilling as needed.
• Be available for after-hours emergency calls and on-call rotation.
• Operate company vehicle safely and perform daily inspections per DOT/NFPA policies.
• Learn to use a tablet to complete work cards and safety inspections accurately.
• Maintain inventory in service vehicles and coordinate with other departments when needed.
