Job summary

MK Consulting Group is seeking a structural steel field project manager in Philadelphia to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of complex structural steel projects, ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with project specs.

You will coordinate with clients, engineers, fabricators, and field teams; review shop and erection drawings; enforce safety plans; monitor costs and contracts; and lead a collaborative team to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Project planning and management: Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources from start to finish.
• Document and contract management: Manage contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Drawing and fabrication oversight: Review structural drawings, shop drawings, and erection plans to ensure they comply with project requirements and facilitate smooth fabrication and installation.
• Safety and quality assurance: Implement and enforce safety plans and procedures on the job site and manage quality control processes.
• Problem-solving: Identify and resolve project challenges and issues as they arise.
• Financial oversight: Monitor job costs, manage billing and invoicing, and ensure timely payments.
• Team leadership: Mentor project staff and foster a positive team environment.
