Job summary

Calista Brice in Alaska is seeking a Student Project Engineer to support the Project Manager, onsite Superintendent, Foreman, and Project Engineer with documentation and administrative tasks on a four-month assignment. The role is field-based (60–80% in the field) with some office work and frequent travel to remote locations.

Qualifications

• Completion of 2-3 years postsecondary education in construction-related fields.
• Experience in the construction industry preferred; heavy civil construction preferred.
• CESCL certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to operate a vehicle per policy.
• Ability to pass drug, driving, and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Collect and review timecards and equipment usage reports.
• Assist with daily project report preparation.
• Enter time and equipment data into Heavy Job daily and track costs.
• Review pay estimates quantities and coordinate with grade checkers.
• Maintain SWPPP compliance and organize field records.
• Travel to remote work locations up to 80%.
