Job summary

Alaska Aggregate Products LLC. is seeking a Project Engineer to assist in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance functions on projects under the direction of the Senior Projects Manager or designated engineering staff.

The role involves drafting drawings, reviewing blueprints, calculating material quantities, and participating in site inspections to ensure safety and conformance with design specifications. It is a seasonal, full-time position with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• . High school diploma or equivalent.
• . Four or more year’s construction-related field experience.
• . Valid state driver license is required.
• . Engineering degree preferred.
• . MSHA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design systems and structures and draft detailed drawings and layouts to meet specifications.
• Read and review project blueprints and structural specs to determine dimensions and material needs.
• Calculate dimensions, square footage, profiles, and material quantities.
• Assist in project site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specs and safety standards.
• Support Senior Project Manager in construction, operations, and maintenance at project sites.
• Participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points and elevations.
• Estimate quantities and costs of materials, equipment, or labor for feasibility.
• Prepare or present reports, bids, and environmental statements as required.
• Provide technical assistance regarding design, construction, or project modifications.
